Our Grazing Tables


We are always asked what is a grazing table? We say our tables are an Italian five sensory feast. It truly is a convivium for you and your quests to surround the table, eat, talk and relax. Its casual dining at its best. It can be a meal size with endless pairings on a picking experience of your guests. 

The food... Our delicately laid selection of artisan salumi including prosciutto; bresaola and a variety of salami are perfectly paired with artisan and gourmet cheeses. Surrounded homemade marinated olives sourced from the oldest olive trees in Australia and sides like handmade crostini seasoned with sea salt and rosemary; seasonal farm fresh fruits, handmade dips, organic chocolate and more… You and your guests will be transported by taste and scent on a culinary Italian adventure.

The size... The tables range from 340mmx2000mm and 700mmX2000mm, starting at $1500 for the smaller table. We customise to your event. Our smallest table can be a grazing meal for lunch or dinner for 20-30 people and an antipasti for a bbq or sit-down dinner for up to 80 guests. Our larger table is a feast for 40-50 people and a antipasti for 120. You can add accompaniments like a traditional half a let of ham or homemade robust bruschetta if you have extra guests. We will next the venue to have a table measuring XXXXX or you can rent out our handmade trestles for XXXX.

The style... Our clients have called our tables 'edible art'. They truely are a centrepiece. Every table is unique and part of our service is collaborating on your food centrepiece. We had one client who loved pink and all things vintage so we sprinkled the table with petals on top of lace runners while another client table expressed her love for the country with simple native florals. All our tables have a signature The Salted Pig Salumeria Rustic look. 

What is next? The best advise is to figure out how full you want your guests to be - do you want a light pick picking experience or a main meal size. You then give us the number of guests along with this and we can chat on what we suggest for you and your guests.

How to confirm table? Once we've worked out together what you'd love for you and your guests, we will send an invoice and when paid via our website, over the phone or bank transfer then your table is confirmed. We also require a $100 deposit that will be refunded on return of our handmade grazing table and utensils.  

Relax.... Let us do the work now! The table will be styled at least 2 hours prior to your event and must be placed in a cool and shaded area, preferably inside. We will organise you a suitable time to pick up our grazing table and props. 

Extras for the day.. Please let us know if you want serving ware - we can organise a quote with you. 

*We source all sustainable foods and use only seasonal produce. Sometimes you may see figs on our table and other times strawberries. We will chat with you on what is available.
